Toyota Transmission
Every one knows how a Toyota works. They know that the distinctive style of this car is in part because of its looks and in a part from its smooth performance. This performance comes from the Toyota transmission. For the car owner this means a great working car, for others, a superior product that they can look at and admire. And the only way that they can get their Toyota transmission to stay in good working order is to maintain their car properly.
Regular checkups also help and if your mechanic tells you there's something wrong with your Toyota transmission then take him at his word and get it fixed. The last thing you would want is for your Toyota transmission to conk on you in the middle of the freeway in rush hour traffic. Now that would just be a disaster in the making and one you want to avoid at all costs.
And if not in the middle of rush hour then you might find your Toyota transmission giving out on you in the middle of nowhere and approaching night with no town in sight. This is definitely not something you want to do especially if you're a fan of horror movies!
Without a mechanic's warning though how will you know if your Toyota transmission is giving out, or already has given out? After all, your car could be stalled for any number of reasons. Well, if you have your foot in the accelerator, the car in Drive, and the brakes off and nothing happens, then you can be almost certain that something has gone wrong with your Toyota transmission.
Another good indication is if your car is slightly sluggish. The engine works fine and you can hear those throaty revs from under the hood, but no matter how far you floor the accelerator you can only go at a paltry twenty five miles per hour. On the freeway.
In this case pullover to the hard shoulder and give your garage a call. Your Toyota transmission is probably on its way to Toyota transmission heaven and you don't want to speed it on its way. Besides the condition it's in, speeding is the last thing on the mind of your Toyota transmission!
Actually both cases that I described require you to call the nearest mechanic or your garage, and you will be greeted either with the news that your Toyota transmission is going to make it through, or that it finally bit the dust. In which case, you might want to look into getting a used Toyota transmission.
A new Toyota transmission while not costing the earth can be expensive and if you feel comfortable with it you could go for the used Toyota transmission. Whatever you decide though be assured that with the quality of Toyota behind your car, it'll be a while yet before your Toyota transmission goes out on you again. Unless of course you bang up the car, in which case anything goes!
